MEMPHIS – The Christian Brothers University basketball team pulled away from Montevallo to earn an 81-65 win, on Thursday night, at Canale Arena.
The Bucs have now won five straight games. The five straight wins are tied for the most for the program since the 2018-19 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A three-pointer from Madison Monroe gave the Bucs a 22-14 lead, with 10:12 left in the first half.
- Scoring runs to the story for the remainder of the half, as the Bucs opened up a 40-20 lead, but the Falcons ended the half on an 18-1 run to cut the halftime deficit to 41-38.
- The Bucs shot 49 percent in the first half, knocking down five of 11 from long-range.
- After the Falcons tied the game at 42, just over 90 seconds into the second half, the Bucs scored 11 of the next 14 points to take a 53-45 lead, with 14:56 left.
- Over the next eight minutes, CBU reeled off a 20-6 run to take control of the game. During the run, the Bucs hit 11 of their 13 shots.
