MEMPHIS – The Christian Brothers University basketball team outscored Auburn Montgomery 45-30 in the first half of an 84-60 win, on Saturday afternoon, at Canale Arena.
The Bucs, who have now won six straight contests, have clinched a berth in the Gulf South Conference Tournament for the first time since the 2018-19 season. The six straight victories are the most for CBU since the 2017-18 team that won 11 straight games to open the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first seven minutes CBU raced out to a a 24-8 lead.
- Jailen Anderson knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to extend the lead to 32-10, with 8:34 left.
- Travis Anderson hit a jump shot to trim the CBU lead to 45-30 at the break.
- CBU shot 17-37 in the first half, hitting 6-15 from long-range.
- The Bucs led 64-49 at the midway point of the second half.
- After AUM again trimmed the deficit to 15, with 6:41 left, the Bucs closed the game on a an 11-2 run.
