HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the contest was tied at 13, the Bucs scored nine straight points to take a 22-13 lead with 7:44 left in the half.
- Shorter cut the deficit to 31-27, but Andrew Eberhardt knocked down a three-pointer to give the Bucs a 34-27 lead at the half.
- CBU led at the break despite shooting just 38 percent (12-32).
- The Bucs opened the second half on a 9-2 run to extend their lead to 43-29.
- Carter Selman knocked down a three-pointer to get the Hawks to within 51-46 with 9:03 left.
- The Bucs were able to score 11 of the next 15 points to extend the lead to 68-52, with five minutes left, to help them earn the win.

- After shooting just 38 percent in the first half, the Bucs bounced back to shoot 14-27 in the second half.
- Shorter finished 44 percent from the floor.
- CBU hit 14 of its 18 free throw attempts, while Shorter was just 5-11.
