PENSACOLA, FL. - The Christian Brothers University baseball team fell 7-3 to the University of West Florida, in the opening game of the Gulf South Conference series, on Friday evening, at Jim Spooner Field.
FINAL SCORE: CBU 3 (10-14, 5-8 GSC) UWF 7 (15-6, 8-2 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
The Argonauts scored five runs in the seventh inning to lock in the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

West Florida had a slight advantage in hits, 8-7.

Three Bucs had multiple hits.

Ben Brocato led the way going 2-4 with one run scored and one RBI.

Clay Facteau and Gabe Walker both went 2-4 with an RBI each.

The CBU pitching staff recorded five strikeouts and left 13 runners stranded.
KEY PLAYS:
CBU opened up the scoring with one run in the second inning with an RBI single from Gabe Walker making it 1-0.
The Argonauts tied the game in the bottom of the second inning at 1-1.
The Bucs again took the lead at 2-1 with an RBI single from Clay Facteau in the top of the third inning.
UWF again tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The game remained tight until the Bucs regained the lead in the top of seventh inning making it 3-2 from an RBI single from Ben Brocato.
The Argonauts then scored five in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the win at 7-3.
