PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Christian Brothers University baseball team dropped a pair contests to the University of West Florida, on Saturday afternoon, at Jim Spooner Field. The Argonauts held on to take the opener 9-7 and hit its way to a 17-1 win in game two.
GAME ONE: CBU 7 (10-15, 5-9 GSC) UWF 9 (16-6, 9-2 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
The Argonauts put up six runs in the first two innings to give them a big lead that was never lost.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

UWF had a 13-11 advantage in hits

Dalton Pyzer led the way going 2-5 with a double, a home run, and two RBIs.

The CBU pitching staff recorded three strikeouts and left six runners stranded.
KEY PLAYS:
Dalton Pyzer gave the Bucs an early lead with home run in the first inning, followed by two more runs scoring due to a UWF fielding error.
The Argonauts plated four runs in the bottom of the first and two runs in the second to go up 6-3.
UWF scores 3 more runs by the bottom of the sixth to advance their lead.
CBU rallied back with four runs between the sixth and seventh innings to cut the lead to 9-7, however that would hold on to be the final result.
GAME TWO: CBU 1 (10-16, 5-10 GSC) UWF 17 (17-6, 10-2 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
The Argonauts scored fifteen unanswered runs in their first four trips to the plate.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
KEY PLAYS:
UWF scored fifteen unanswered runs to lead 15-0 after the fourth inning.
An RBI single allowed the Bucs to score 1 run in the top of the sixth, making the score 15-1.
West Florida plated two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead to the final result of 17-1.
