Bucs Fall To Auburn Montgomery

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Christian Brothers University baseball team fell 9-1 in game one of the Gulf South Conference Series against Auburn Montgomery. 

 

FINAL SCORE: AUM 9 (20-14, 13-6 GSC) CBU 1 (13-20, 5-14 GSC)

 

GAME CHANGER:

Auburn Montgomery's defense allowed just one run to be scored over the nine innings. 

 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • The Bucs had an advantage in hitting, 10-5. 

  • The Bucs had one extra-base hit. 

  • Two double plays were converted by the Bucs. 
     

KEY PLAYS:

AUM opened up the scoring, going into the bottom of the fourth leading 5-0. 

Matthew McDaniel's RBI single scored the Bucs' only run of the game making it 5-1. 

The Warhawks then scored two more in the fifth inning, leading 7-1.

AUM wrapped up their scoring with 2 runs in the seventh inning to win 9-1.
