BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The Christian Brothers University baseball fell 12-9 to Miles College, in non-conference action, on Wednesday afternoon, at Johnson Field.
FINAL SCORE: MC 12 (9-10) CBU 9 (8-11)
GAME CHANGER:
The Golden Bears plated five runs in the fourth inning to secure the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Miles had a 12-10 advantage in hits.
- Three Bucs had multiple hits.
- Cory Stienhauer led the way going 3-4 with a home run, a double, and three RBIs.
- Clay Facteau went 2-4 with a home run and a double.
- The CBU pitching staff recorded nine strikeouts and left 10 runners stranded.
KEY PLAYS:
Cory Stienhauer opened the scoring with a solo home run in the second.

Matthew McDaniel RBI single, in the second, extended the Bucs lead to 2-0.
Miles plated four runs in the third to take the 4-2 lead.

Clay Facteau solo homer and a wild pitched added two runs for the Bucs to tie the game at four.
The Golden Bears then scored eight unanswered runs to go up 12-4.
The Bucs score two runs in the seventh and added three runs in the eight to round out the scoring, but saw their comeback fall short.
