MEMPHIS,?? Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University baseball team dropped a pair of contests to Mississippi College, on Saturday afternoon, at Nadicksbernd Field. The Choctaws took the opener 14-3 in seven innings and hit its way to a 14-4 win in game two.
GAME ONE: MC 14 (17-20, 8-15 GSC) CBU 3 (14-26, 6-20 GSC)
GAME CHANGER:
The Choctaws scored in every inning but the fifth and the seventh to secure the seven inning victory.

Mississippi College jumped out to an 6-0 lead by the second inning
The Bucs cut the lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the second inning from a Jalen Smith home run.
The Choctaws would add 4 more runs in the third inning.
CBU chipped at the lead to make it 10-2 after the third inning, scoring from a Mississippi College throwing error.
MC scored 4 more runs making it 14-2.
Will Gossett hits an RBI single for the Bucs making it 14-3 and finalizing the seven inning victory for the Choctaws.

The Choctaws scored big in the sixth inning to earn the win.

The Bucs scored their first run of the game from a Royal Hobson RBI double in the fifth making it 5-1.
Mississippi College continued their scoring by adding 6 runs in the sixth inning making it 11-1.
CBU rallies back with 3 runs in the sixth inning to cut the lead to 11-4 led by a Will Gossett RBI sacrifice fly.
The Choctaws pad their lead with 3 runs in the seventh inning to make it the final score 14-4.
