Clinton, Miss.- Christian Brothers University volleyball closed out its regular season with an impressive straight-set sweep over Mississippi College (25–20, 25–15, 25–11) on Friday evening at A.E. Wood Coliseum in Clinton, Mississippi.
The Lady Bucs controlled the match from start to finish, hitting a remarkable .323 as a team while holding the Choctaws to just .089. CBU's balance, serving pressure, and front-row dominance proved to be the difference throughout all three sets.
Calah Jackson led the way with a team-high 10 kills, hitting a scorching .563 on the night. Ella Schumacher was a force at the net with 11 kills and 5 blocks, while Addison Waggoner delivered a strong all-around performance, adding 8 kills, 7 digs, and an ace.
Setter Carleiny Morillo directed the offense masterfully with 36 assists, guiding CBU to one of its most efficient offensive outings of the season. Sophia Nowacki anchored the back row with 15 digs and chipped in 2 service aces, while Lilly Oxford added 2 aces and 9 digs to keep Mississippi College out of system.
CBU applied consistent pressure from the service line, finishing with 8 aces, and the defense stepped up with 6 team blocks, disrupting MC's rhythm throughout the match.
The Lady Bucs never trailed in the third set, closing the door with a dominant 25–11 finish to secure the sweep and build momentum heading into postseason play.
