Huntsville, AL- In a high-energy tournament matchup under the bright lights of SportsMED Arena in Huntsville, the Christian Brothers Buccaneers showed grit, heart, and a whole lot of fight in a narrow 78–73 battle against USC Beaufort. Despite trailing by double digits early, the Bucs stormed back with a powerful second-half surge that kept the arena buzzing until the final horn.

The night belonged to Marquis Gill, who delivered a tournament-worthy performance with 25 points, attacking the rim, hitting tough shots, and giving CBU momentum whenever they needed a spark. Right behind him, Iman Kheirati was a force inside, posting an impressive 18-point, 13-rebound double-double, dominating the boards and keeping CBU alive possession after possession.

CBU's second-half effort was electric. The Bucs poured in 43 points after halftime, shooting 16-for-29 from the field and locking in defensively to force key stops. Turner Duncan added 11 points, while Caleb Gaitor dropped 8 points and 4 assists, making plays all over the floor.

On the glass, CBU was relentless, winning the rebound battle 44–33 and pulling down 14 offensive boards, fueled by Kheirati's four and a relentless team effort. The Bucs dominated the paint with 38 points inside, carving through the defense and attacking the rim with confidence.

Despite the turnover battle being a challenge, the Bucs never folded. Possession after possession, they clawed back, cut the lead down, and kept USC Beaufort under pressure until the final minute.
