Lakeland, Fla. Christian Brothers University senior Basile Chevrel capped off an impressive season with a strong showing at the NCAA Division II South Regional Championship on Saturday morning in Lakeland, Florida. Chevrel crossed the line in 32:15, earning a 12th-place finish in the men's 10K race, one of the best regional performances in the  program.

Chevrel's consistent pace and experience helped anchor the Buccaneers against a deep regional field that featured over 130 runners from across the Gulf South and Sunshine State Conferences. His top-15 finish continued his streak of standout postseason efforts, following his All-GSC Second Team recognition earlier this fall.

As a team, the Buccaneers placed 12th overall, closing out the cross country season on a positive note. The group displayed steady improvement throughout the year, highlighted by strong chemistry and leadership from upperclassmen.

Head coach Bill Hoffman praised the team's effort and Chevrel's leadership, noting that the program's progress this season sets a strong foundation for future success.
