Christian Brothers Takes Down Northwest Missouri State

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Christian Brothers scored runs in five different innings on Saturday, securing an 8-6 victory over Northwest Missouri State at Nadicksbernd Field in the first game of a doubleheader.

The Buccaneers capitalized on an early lead, scoring twice in the first inning and maintaining momentum throughout the game. Shortstop Jackson Licata led the charge, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, including a double. Andrew Reed also contributed three hits, scoring twice and stealing a base.

Jalen Smith delivered a crucial two-run home run, while Cory Steinhauer also drove in a pair of runs to support the Bucs' offense.

Christian Brothers' pitching staff held off a late push from the Bearcats. Starter Charlie Faoro earned the win, tossing four innings while allowing three runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Will Gossett closed the door in relief, securing the final outs.

Christian Brothers Shut Out by Northwest Missouri State

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Christian Brothers struggled to find offensive momentum in the second game on Saturday, falling 16-0 to Northwest Missouri State at Nadicksbernd Field.

The Buccaneers managed just four hits in the seven-inning contest, unable to solve Bearcats' starting pitcher Ben Haug, who tossed a complete-game shutout. Haug allowed just four hits while striking out six and walking two.

Northwest Missouri State jumped out to an early lead with a four-run first inning before breaking the game open with an eight-run second. Shortstop Dylan Hufft led the charge, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs, including two doubles. Jacob Selock added a home run and four RBIs, while Brody Hufft drove in three runs.

Christian Brothers' pitching struggled to contain the Bearcats' bats, surrendering 16 hits and issuing three walks. Starter Eli Potter took the loss, facing two batters in the second inning before being relieved.

Jalen Smith, Gabe Walker, Ivan Zambrano, and Jackson Licata each recorded a hit for the Buccaneers.

Christian Brothers Falls to Northwest Missouri State in High-Scoring Contest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Christian Brothers could not keep pace with Northwest Missouri State's explosive offense, falling 20-4 on Sunday at Nadicksbernd Field.

The Buccaneers surrendered 20 runs on 10 hits and struggled defensively, committing three errors in the seven-inning defeat. The Bearcats wasted no time jumping ahead, plating three runs in the first inning before adding four more in the second.

Christian Brothers showed some fight in the middle innings, getting on the board in the fourth with an RBI single from Ivan Zambrano. Sam Walker's RBI double in the fifth and a solo home run by Andrew Reed in the sixth provided additional offense, but it was not enough to overcome the early deficit.

Walker and Zambrano each recorded multiple hits, with both of Walker's hits being doubles.

On the mound, Michael Hanna (0-2) took the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) in just 1.1 innings. The Bucs' bullpen also struggled, as four relievers combined to allow 14 more runs over the final innings.

Northwest Missouri State's offensive attack was led by Ryan Williams, who went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including a home run and a double. Ashton Neuman and Kaehukai Young also homered, with Young driving in five runs.
