Christian Brothers lost three games to Lee over the weekend in a Gulf South Conference matchup. Lee won on Friday, 10-2, then swept a Saturday doubleheader by scores of 13-4 and 6-2. CBU falls to 11-17 overall and 4-14 in conference play.
GAME 1
Lee scored at least one run in each of the first five innings to win. CBU's two runs came on solo homers – one by
Nick Petruzzello in the 5
th inning and one by
Andrew Reed in the seventh. It was Petruzzello's first career homer.
Dylan Anders pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief striking out two,
GAME 2
Lee broke open a 1-1 tie with a run in the third inning and five in the fourth to win, 13-4.
Cory Steinhauer and
Patrick Mangels had two hits apiece for the Bucs. Steinhauer and
Gabe Walker homered for CBU. It was Walker's first career homer.
GAME 3
Cayden Freels had two hits and an RBI in a 6-2 loss in the series finale. Freels and
Andrew Reed doubled to lead the CBU offense.
Dylan Anders again shined in relief allowing just one run in 1.2 innings of work.
The Bucs host Lane College Tuesday in a doubleheader before hitting the road for a three-game series at Trevecca Nazarene this weekend.
