MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Christian Brothers University soccer will officially open Gulf South Conference play this Sunday, September 21, on campus against Union University, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. The Bucs are eager to build on early-season momentum and carry it into the heart of conference competition.

The Bucs are ready for the challenge the league always brings.
"Conference is tough. It would probably have to be playing against good competition,"  said head coach Julia Osmond.

The women's team heads into Sunday with confidence as well, coming off a strong win to close out their non-conference slate. Their early-season growth has set the tone as they enter league play.

When asked which players have impressed so far, the coaching staff emphasized the collective strength of the roster over individual performances.
"I have been impressed with the team's togetherness, the ability for them to work together and push each other forward," the coach said. "Not one particular player has stood out, as we have seen some very good team performances."

With both programs prepared to test themselves against top-tier competition, Sunday's doubleheader promises to deliver energy and excitement. Fans are encouraged to come out and support CBU soccer as the Bucs begin their push in the Gulf South Conference.
