Box Score Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers showed tremendous fight and resilience in their home opener at Signaigo Field, pushing Eckerd to the limit in a 2–1 contest.
After conceding two early goals in the first half, the Lady Bucs locked in defensively and turned the momentum in their favor. Freshman goalkeeper Kaylee Allen came up with three key saves to keep her side within striking distance, showing poise under pressure.
The second half was all CBU. The Lady Bucs outshot Eckerd 9–2 after the break and controlled possession with a relentless midfield effort. Their pressure finally paid off in the 77th minute, when Lia Haggstrom found the back of the net for her first goal of the season, sending the home crowd into celebration.
The attack didn't slow down CBU racked up five second-half corner kicks and created multiple chances as they chased the equalizer, showing the depth and determination of the squad. Elisa Cruz and Karis Klindtworth both tested the Eckerd keeper, forcing saves late in the match.
While the score ended 2–1, Christian Brothers' strong finish was a clear sign of growth. With 11 total shots more than Eckerd managed all game the Lady Bucs proved they can generate offense against tough opponents.
