Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers delivered a complete performance on March 20 at the Leftwich Tennis Center, defeating Rust College 7-0 in a one-sided match. From doubles play through singles competition, the Buccaneers controlled every point and never allowed Rust to gain momentum.
The match began with doubles, where Christian Brothers quickly secured the early advantage. The duo of Benjamin Hanriot and Ebolum Nwokolo dominated at the No. 1 spot with a 6-0 win, while Juan Ycaza and Justin Martin followed with a 6-1 victory at No. 2. With both doubles matches claimed, CBU took a strong lead heading into singles.
In singles play, the Buccaneers continued their dominance by sweeping all six matches in straight sets. Hanriot led the way at No. 1 with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 win. Ernesto Pico followed at No. 2, winning 6-2, 6-1, while Ot Diaz Colell was flawless at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.
Ebolum Nwokolo kept the momentum going at No. 4 with another 6-0, 6-0 performance, and Justin Martin secured a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5. Regan Guess rounded out the sweep at No. 6, closing the match and sealing the 7-0 victory.
