Tigerville, SC- The Christian Brothers University men's golf team competed against a strong field, turning in a steady performance highlighted by consistent play across the lineup.
Facing teams like North Greenville University, Belmont Abbey College, and Miles College, the Buccaneers held their own in a tightly contested tournament where scores remained close throughout.
Leading the way for CBU was Kevin Feng, who finished tied for 22nd with a two-round total of 155 (+11). After an opening round of 80, Feng bounced back with a strong 75 in round two, showing resilience and the ability to adjust.
Jack Clarke followed closely behind, tying for 25th at 156 (+12). Clarke opened with a solid 76 before posting an 80 in the second round. Nathan London added another consistent performance, finishing 31st at 158 (+14) with rounds of 78 and 80.
The Buccaneers also saw contributions from Joseph Winterrowd (T34, 162, +18), Nathan Harms (T39, 165, +21), and Dylan Goodman (46th, 174, +30). Harms delivered one of the team's better second rounds with a 77, showing improvement as the tournament progressed.
At the top of the leaderboard, North Greenville's Nolan Witham claimed the individual title at even par (144), narrowly edging a tightly packed group of competitors.
While the Buccaneers did not finish at the top of the standings, the tournament provided valuable experience against a deep field. The team showed flashes of strong play, particularly in second-round adjustments, which will be key as they continue to prepare for upcoming events.
