MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Bucs used a 39th-minute goal by freshman
Andrew Ballard (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) to win 1-0 over Lambuth Sunday night at Signaigo Field.
The Bucs (5-5-1) scored the lone goal after drawing a corner kick.
Clark Bradford (Blackburn, England/Ribblesdale HS) served the corner kick to the far post, and Ballard headed it home for his second goal of the year, and his second in as many games after scoring late in the first half at Delta State Wednesday.
Senior goalkeeper
Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) made six saves as he picked up his second straight shutout.
Despite the win, the Bucs were out-shot 10-7 by the Eagles (6-3-1), including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.
The Bucs will return to Gulf South Conference play Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. as they visit No. 16 West Florida.
