Bucs Take First Road Win at West Georgia

Nick Kohs had 32 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks to lead the Bucs to a 67-56 win at West Georgia Saturday afternoon.
Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs rolled to a 67-56 win Saturday afternoon at West Georgia in their first road game of the season.

As they have in all five wins this season, the Bucs (5-1) leaned heavily on Nick Kohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS), who dominated to the tune of 32 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks, as the Wolves (2-5) had no answer for the Bucs' senior center.

Kohs scored nine points during an 11-0 run late in the first half that broke an 18-18 tie and put the Bucs up by 11 with two minutes remaining in the first half.  UWG came no closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

Reggie Peyton (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) added 13 points and four steals for the Bucs, while Scott Dennis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore HS) had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Bucs shot 49 percent from the floor, while their defense held the Wolves to just 32 percent.  CBU also enjoyed a 37-30 edge on the boards.

Chris Colvin led the Wolves with 13 points, while Doug Daniels and Jeremy Smith scored 12 each.

The Bucs come home Wednesday night at 7 p.m. as they host No. 16 North Alabama in a rematch of last year's GSC Semifinal and NCAA South Regional Quarterfinal.
