Poor Finishing Sinks Bucs 2-0

The Bucs lost 2-0 to West Florida Friday night in the GSC Semifinals.
PENSACOLA, Fla.—Third-seeded West Florida edged the Christian Brothers University Bucs 2-0 Friday evening in the Gulf South Conference semifinals.

The Argos (14-3-2) jumped out to a lead in the 36th minute when Jason Ream scored off a Matt Williams cross, and they tacked on the final goal in the 88th minute as Rafael Segal fed a lead pass to Christian Cabral as they perfectly executed a 2-on-2 chance.

The Bucs out-shot UWF 12-10, including a 6-4 edge in shots on goal, but first-team All-GSC keeper Thomas Olmstead  turned in a clean sheet with six saves as he picked up his third shutout of the season.

The Bucs finish the season at 10-7-2.  Six seniors, Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS), Ryan Heine (New Orleans, La./Brother Martin HS), Rasaq Kuteyi (Lagos, Nigeria/Mansfield (TX) Summit High School), Usman Hussain (West Yorkshire, England/), Craig De Melo (Langley, B.C./Langley Secondary School), and Oisin Crean (Dublin, Ireland/), played their final games for CBU tonight.
