Box Score MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Bucs opened the game on a 35-10 run and never looked back Tuesday night as they cruised to an 83-41 win over Ecclesia.
The Bucs (7-2) wasted no time identifying their best matchup, pounding it inside to senior center
Nick Kohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) for their first eight points. Kohs finished with a game-high 21 to go with eight rebounds and two assists.
Zack Warner (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton HS) came off the bench to score 12 points in 15 minutes as the only other Buc in double figures. 11 of the 14 players who played scored at least one basket.
Scott Dennis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore HS) continued his strong play as he narrowly missed a triple-double with nine rebounds, nine assists, seven points, and three steals in 28 minutes, while
Kyle Couvion (Dayton, Ohio/Centerville HS) had six assists and five steals while scoring his four points on a pair of fast-break dunks.
The Bucs held Ecclesia (9-5) to just 26.8 percent (15-of-56) from the floor, marking the fifth straight game the Bucs have allowed less than 38 percent shooting from the field.
