MEMPHIS—Jean Alexandre’s 104th-minute goal gave visiting Lynn a 2-1 double-overtime win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Saturday afternoon at Signaigo Field.
The Knights (2-0) never trailed in the game as Kyle Conrad headed in a James Hayers cross in the 48th minute to open the scoring. The Bucs tied it in the 64th minute as junior
Robert Mingo (Covington, La./St. Paul's HS) collected a loose ball in the box and fired it into the corner of the net to tie the game and send it to overtime.
In the second overtime, Alexandre capitalized after the Bucs couldn’t clear the ball as he scored the game-winner at the 103:31 mark.
The Bucs were out-shot 18-5 for the game, including an 11-3 margin in shots on goal. Senior keeper
Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) made nine saves to keep the Bucs in it.
CBU will be back in action next weekend. Friday night, they visit Missouri Science & Technology, and they play at Missouri Valley Sunday afternoon.
