MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Bucs snapped a three-game skid with a 1-0 overtime win at Harding Tuesday night in a non-conference game.
After a scoreless 90 minutes, the Bucs (3-4-1) scored the game-winner in the 96th after CBU drew a foul just outside the 18-yard box.
Clark Bradford (Blackburn, England/Ribblesdale HS) rocketed the free kick into the crossbar, and
Rasaq Kuteyi (Lagos, Nigeria/Mansfield (TX) Summit High School) knocked the rebound home for his second goal of the year, giving the Bucs their fourth straight 1-0 win over Harding.
For the night, the Bucs out-shot Harding 16-10, including a 5-3 margin in shots on goal, as
Daniel Johnson (Lafayette, La./Lafayette HS) made three saves to record his first shutout.
The Bucs will open Gulf South Conference play Saturday night as they host defending South Regional champion Montevallo at 7:30 p.m.
