Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The No. 12 Christian Brothers University Bucs moved back into first place in the Gulf South Conference West Division with a 63-44 win at Henderson State.  Head coach Mike Nienaber earned his 400th career win with the victory.

The Bucs (15-3, 4-1 GSC West) struggled to put away a pesky HSU (3-14, 1-4) squad, but they finally put the game away with a 21-4 run over the final 12 minutes.

The Bucs seemed poised to put the game away early with a 9-0 run that gave them a 17-8 lead with 11:30 remaining in the first half, but the Reddies took a lead with a 14-0 run, eventually taking their biggest lead at 27-21 with 5:23 remaining in the half.

The Bucs regained the lead with a 9-0 run capped by a Nick Kohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) dunk with 2:21 remaining, and they never trailed again.

Kohs and Reggie Peyton (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) scored 25 points each, and Kohs grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.  Kyle Couvion (Dayton, Ohio/Centerville HS) had seven points, six steals, and six assists, with four of the six steals coming during the run that salted the game away.

Martin Mitchell led the Reddies with nine points.

The Bucs held HSU to 22.2 percent (6-of-27) from the floor in the second half after the Reddies shot 66.7 percent (14-of-21) in the first half as they out-scored HSU 29-13 in the second half.

The Bucs' win, combined with Delta State's 85-79 overtime win over No. 17 Arkansas Tech, moves the Bucs back into a first-place tie with ATU at 4-1 with two games remaining in the first half of the GSC West schedule.

The Bucs will return to action Thursday night as they host Southern Arkansas at 7 p.m.
