COLLIERVILLE—Visiting Lambuth used two first-half goals five minutes apart to claim a 2-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles (3-3-1) scored first when Jonah Powers Myszka found the net with an unassisted 17th-minute goal. They set the final margin in the 22nd minute when Gavin Smith scored unassisted.
From there, Lambuth keeper Brett Borm kept the Bucs (2-5-1) off the board with six saves.
Harrison Cheatham (Franklin, Tenn./Centennial HS) made four saves for the Bucs.
The Bucs will return to the field Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. as they open Gulf South Conference play against Delta State.
