ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs picked up their first Gulf South Conference win of the year Saturday afternoon as they edged host Ouachita Baptist 2-1.
The Bucs (4-8-1, 1-2 GSC) scored the game's first goal just over a minute into the second half as
Yannick Skull (Adelaide, Australia/Woodcroft College) headed in a cross from
Gideon Leteyian (Namanga, Kenya/Kiluani New Life Secondary School). The Tigers (8-5-1, 2-2) answered in the 55th minute as Justin Lowry scored on a Jason Cantwell cross. In the 64th minute, Leteyian provided the game-winner, scoring on an
Ebai Ayuk (Atlanta, Ga./East Paulding HS) cross.
The Bucs out-shot Ouachita 17-7 for the game, including a commanding 10-2 edge in shots on goal.
CBU steps out of conference play Friday night as they visit Union at 7 p.m. They come home for a crucial GSC contest against Harding Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
