SEARCY, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs capitalized on an early red card as they cruised to a 2-0 win at Harding Tuesday night in a non-conference game.
The Bucs (3-7-1) played with a man advantage for 80 minutes after Harding (1-7-0) defender Rhon Royer was sent off for a late tackle in the 11th minute. The Bucs struck first 10 minutes later as
Gideon Leteyian (Namanga, Kenya/Kiluani New Life Secondary School) headed in a
Samuel Chun (Quito, Ecuador/Ari Pinto das Nevis) corner kick.
Ebai Ayuk (Atlanta, Ga./East Paulding HS) finished on a Leteyian cross in the 73rd minute to set the final margin. The Bucs out-shot Harding 12-6 for the game, including a 6-2 edge in shots on goal.
Daniel Johnson (Lafayette, La./Lafayette HS) made both saves for the shutout.
The Bucs return to GSC play Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at West Florida. Their next home game is the GSC game against Harding on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 3 p.m.
