Bucs Topple No. 11 Falcons 2-1 in Double-Overtime

Tony Aloia scored both goals as the Bucs upset No. 11 Montevallo 2-1 Friday afternoon.
Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs used a pair of goals by sophomore Tony Aloia (Hallsville, Texas, Hallsville HS) to upset No. 11 Montevallo Friday afternoon.

The Falcons (3-2-1) took an early lead in just the seventh minute as Tyson Eyo scored on a free kick from 25 yards out.  Aloia's first strike put the Bucs (3-2) on the board in the 21st minute as he finished a breakaway after a pass from Sean Rutter (Bristol, England/Filton College).  From there, the game remained even until the 108th minute, when Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/) found Aloia with another through ball, and again Aloia found the right side of the net for the win.

The Bucs out-shot the Falcons 11-10, with a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.  Jaime Garcia (San Salvador, El Salvador/Lincoln School) made two saves to earn the victory.

The Bucs return to action Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. when they host Harding in a non-conference game.
