Bucs Edge Harding 1-0

Box Score MEMPHIS—A 34th-minute header from Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) lifted the Christian Brothers University Bucs to a 1-0 victory over Harding Sunday afternoon at Signaigo Field.

The goal capped a first half dominated by the Bucs (4-2), who out-shot Harding (3-3-1) 10-2 in the opening 45 minutes.  Ferraz's finish was the ninth shot of the half for the Bucs.  Ralph Velasco (Rowlett, Texas/Rowlett HS) beat a defender at the top left corner of the 18-yard box and fired a cross through traffic to Ferraz, 10 yards out on the right side.  Ferraz's score was his fourth of the season, including his second game-winner.

For the game, the Bucs out-shot the Bisons 14-7, including a 5-2 edge in shots on goal.  Jaime Garcia (San Salvador, El Salvador/Lincoln School) made a pair of saves for his second shutout of the season.

The Bucs return to action Friday night at 7 p.m. when they host Lindenwood.
