Bucs Edge Mountain Lions 3-2

Jose Ferraz scored his fifth goal of the season in the Bucs' 3-2 win over Young Harris Sunday afternoon.
Box Score MEMPHIS—Christian Brothers University sophomore Michael Hollier (Lafayette, La., Teurlings HS) scored two goals, including the 87th-minute game-winner, to lift the Bucs to a 3-2 win over visiting Young Harris Sunday afternoon at Signaigo Field.

The Mountain Lions (5-3) struck first in the game's third minute, when Trevor Monroe beat his defender and scored.  Hollier provided the finish after a Ralph Velasco (Rowlett, Texas/Rowlett HS) cross in the 39th minute to bring the Bucs (6-2) back even.  Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/) put the Bucs on top in the 65th minute when he took a long pass, beat two defenders, juked past the keeper, and fired a shot into the middle of the open net.

The Bucs seemed on the verge of making the lead stand, but in the 83rd minute, Young Harris's Mouhamed Bechir Scored on the rebound after Jaime Garcia (San Salvador, El Salvador/Lincoln School) turned aside a Martin Brain shot.  Hollier saved the best for last, however.  A Mountain Lion defender cleared away a ball in the box, but it bounced right to Hollier, whose volley rocketed into the left side of the net for the win.

Garcia made six saves to earn the win in a remarkably even game where both teams took 13 total shots and eight shots on goal.

The Bucs hit the road Tuesday afternoon as they visit Delta State at 4 p.m.  Their next home game is set for Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Martin Methodist.
