Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga.—The No. 10 Christian Brothers University Bucs trailed by as many as 13 points Saturday at West Georgia, but they out-scored the Wolves 30-15 over the final 14 minutes to claim a 62-58 win Saturday afternoon to stay within a game of first-place Alabama-Huntsville in the Gulf South Conference race.

The Wolves (19-6, 6-4 GSC) went on a 20-7 run early in the game, capped when a Lavon Gray free throw gave UWG a 22-9 lead with 8:49 remaining in the first half.  Scott Dennis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore HS) singlehandedly shot the Bucs (19-4, 8-2) back into the game, knocking down three straight three-pointers to cut the deficit to four points.

After three-pointers from Michael Drake (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic HS) and Cory McArthy (St. Louis, Mo./Christian Brothers College HS) put the Bucs ahead 28-27 with 18:16 remaining, the Wolves went on a 14-2 run to build their lead back to 11 points at 41-30 on back-to-back Da'Ron Sims buckets with 14:48 remaining.

The Bucs began their comeback after a Gavin Field layup with 14:18 remaining put the Wolves ahead 43-32.  Again, the comeback started with a Dennis three-pointer.  A McArthy triple followed, and a Zack Warner (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton HS) dunk and a Dennis three-point play cut the deficit to 45-43 with 11:21 remaining.  Back-to-back Warner baskets trimmed the lead to a single point with 9:02 remaining.  A Harry Green (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) triple tied the game at 56 with 6:18 remaining, and after UWG answered with a three of their own, Dennis knocked down his fifth triple of the day to tie the game one more time.  Gray scored on a layup to put the Wolves ahead 58-56 with 2:53 remaining, but Green answered with another three-pointer to give the Bucs the lead for good with 2:24 remaining.  Green found Warner for a layup with 1:23 remaining, and a Dennis free throw with three seconds left set the final margin to seal the victory.

Dennis scored a game-high 21 points to go with nine rebounds, and Warner added 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Green tacked on 10 points.

Sims paced the Wolves with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Ryan Godfrey scored 10 points.  Quincy Hill scored seven points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.

The Bucs shot 43.4 percent (23-of-53) for the game, including 37.9 percent (11-of-29) from three-point range.  The Wolves were 41.4 percent (24-of-58) overall.  UWG out-rebounded the Bucs 36-33, including a 9-7 edge in offensive boards, and they forced 13 CBU turnovers while committing seven.

The Bucs wrap up their three-game road trip Thursday night at 8 p.m. when they visit North Alabama.  Their next home game is set for Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. against No. 6 Alabama-Huntsville.
