Box Score JACKSON, Tenn.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs out-shot host Union 21-12 Sunday afternoon, but they were unable to hold the lead and settled for a 1-1 tie in double-overtime.
The Bucs (3-5-1, 2-2-1 GSC) scored first when
Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/) found the net unassisted in the 35th minute, but Union (4-2-3, 3-1-2) tied the game in the 75th minute as Pedro Rodriguez scored off a double-assist from Alysson Mohl and Cody Styx.
The Bucs held a 21-6 edge in shots in regulation, but Union goalkeepers Matt Kesler and Rainer Pires combined for 10 saves to keep the game tied.
The Bulldogs out-shot the Bucs 6-0 in the second overtime, cutting the final shot margin to 21-12. CBU held an 11-7 edge in shots on goal for the game.
The Bucs return to action Friday night at 7:30 p.m., when they host Delta State at Signaigo Field.
