Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs out-scored host West Florida 28-13 over the final 15:18 to come back for a 61-52 win Saturday afternoon to wrap up the first half of the Gulf South Conference schedule.

The Argos (8-9, 3-6 GSC) opened the game with an 11-1 run and led by as many as 13 points when a Lendward Griffin jumper put the Argos on top 28-15 with 6:03 remaining in the half.  The Bucs (11-6, 6-3) answered with a 16-3 run to tie the game on a Michael Drake (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic HS) bucket just over a minute into the second half.

The Argos built a six-point lead again, but a Drew Hildreth (Memphis, Tenn./Bolton HS) three-pointer with 15:18 remaining in the game sparked the Bucs' comeback.  A Cory McArthy (St. Louis, Mo./Christian Brothers College HS) three capped the 17-4 run, giving the Bucs a 50-43 lead with 10:33 remaining.  After six straight Argo points cut the margin to one point, a Ryan Fleming (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle HS) three and a Trey Casey fastbreak layup put the Bucs back in front 55-49, and the Argos never came closer than four points again.

Drake scored a game-high 20 points with a team-high seven rebounds.  McArthy scored 14, and Casey added 10.

Nate Johnson paced the Argos with 15 points and 15 rebounds.  Terrence Beasley tacked on 11, while Peter Connole scored 10.

The Bucs shot 48.1 percent (26-of-54) from the floor to the Argos' 38.2 percent (21-of-55).  UWF out-rebounded the Bucs 40-26, including a 15-5 edge in offensive rebounds, but the Bucs forced 13 turnovers while committing seven.

The Bucs open the second half of the GSC schedule Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. as they host Delta State.
