Chargers Edge Bucs 2-1

Jose Ferraz scored on a 55th-minute penalty kick, but the Bucs dropped a 2-1 decision at Alabama-Huntsville Sunday afternoon.
Box Score MEMPHIS-Host Alabama-Huntsville claimed a 2-1 victory over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon.

The Chargers (7-4-1, 5-4-0 GSC) struck first in the 41st minute, when Hermann Bjornsson scored off a free kick from 20 yards. They doubled their advantage on a 54th-minute own goal off a corner kick, but Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/) answered in the 55th minute with a penalty kick goal. The Bucs (6-6-0, 4-5-0) were unable to find an equalizer, however, as their three shots over the final 35 minutes were all blocked or wide.

The Bucs out-shot UAH 7-4 for the game, but Ferraz's goal was the only shot on goal to three by UAH.

The Bucs play their final two GSC home games next weekend. They host Lee Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and Shorter Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. They play their final three GSC games on the road.
