Bucs, Flames Battle to 1-1 Draw

Youssef Naciri picked up the assist on the Bucs' goal in a 1-1 double-overtime tie against Lee Friday night.
Box Score MEMPHIS-Junior forward Jose Ferraz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) scored an 86th-minute equalizer to help the Christian Brothers University Bucs tie visiting Lee Friday night at Signaigo Field.

The Flames (5-3-4, 4-2-4 GSC) struck first in the 22nd minute as Jonathan Finlay found Josh Ball for a sliding shot at the end of a cross into the six-yard box.

The Flames' lead remained 1-0 for more than an hour, with goalkeeper Tom Halsall making several spectacular saves to keep the Bucs (6-6-1, 4-5-1) off the board. The Bucs finally found the equalizer on a play that was nearly identical to Lee's early goal. Youssef Naciri (Casablanca, Morocco/LAK High School) sent a cross into the six yard box from the right side, and Ferraz scored on a one-touch shot to equalize.

Neither team could find the net again, with Halsall making four of his nine saves in overtime.

The Bucs out-shot Lee 22-5 for the game, including a 10-1 edge in shots on goal.

The Bucs return to action Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. as they take on Shorter.
