Set Pieces Doom Bucs in 2-0 Loss

Michael Hollier took a team-high five shots in the Bucs' 2-0 loss to Shorter Sunday afternoon.
Box Score MEMPHIS-Visiting Shorter scored a pair of first-half goals on a corner kick and a free kick as they claimed a 2-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon at Signaigo Field.

The Hawks (8-4-2, 7-3-1 GSC) struck first in the 14th minute, when Robert Ochieng headed in a Diego Gonzalez corner kick. Gonzalez set up the Hawks' second goal as well, serving a free kick from 40 yards out to the back post, where Jonas Uhlhorn scored on a sliding shot to set the final margin.

For the game, Shorter out-shot the Bucs (6-7-1, 4-6-1) 13-12, including a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.

The Bucs play their next three games on the road, beginning Friday night at 7:30 as they visit first-place West Florida. Their final home game is set for Saturday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m. against Palm Beach Atlantic.
