BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Gulf South Conference men's basketball coaches voted Christian Brothers University junior guard
Jeff Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio, La Salle HS) and sophomore forward
Adam Dieball (Cincinnati, Ohio, Lakota East HS) to the Preseason All-GSC Team, and they picked the Bucs to finish fifth in the conference this season. CBU opens its season at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Central State, with their home opener set for Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., also against Central State.

Larkin averaged 18.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game last season, leading the Bucs to a 12-17 record, including a 10-12 mark in GSC play. Larkin finished fourth in the GSC in scoring and tied for fifth in steals.
Dieball averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game last year en route to winning the GSC Freshman of the Year award. He was fourth in the GSC in assists and 10th in scoring.
Alabama Huntsville finished first in the GSC Coaches' Poll, receiving 118 of a possible 121 points including nine of a possible 11 first-place votes. West Georgia was second with 106, followed by Delta State (104), North Alabama (81) and CBU (75). Union (72), Valdosta State (70), Shorter (49), West Alabama (40), West Florida (34), Mississippi College (24) and Lee (22) round out the GSC Coaches Poll.
