Browne Resigns as Head Men's Soccer Coach

MEMPHIS - Head Men's Soccer Coach Clint Browne has resigned, effective April 3, his position at Christian Brothers University to accept a head coaching position at Hutchison High School in Memphis.

"CBU is indebted to Clint's time and effort these past 16 years," said Director of Athletics Brian Summers. "He's made a lasting impact on this institution, but more importantly, on dozens of young men who have played for CBU during the last two decades. His gregarious personality will be missed in the department. I wish he and his family nothing but the best in this new endeavor."

Browne leaves CBU as the winningest coach in program history (155-114-24). His 155 wins are also second in Gulf South Conference history. The Birmingham, England native led the Bucs to back-to-back Gulf South Conference championships (2011-12) and two NCAA South Regional appearances.

The two-time NSCAA South Region Coach of the Year and three-time GSC Coach of the Year, finished his CBU career having led two All-Americans, nine All-Region selections, 61 All-GSC players and 32 GSC All-Academic honorees. Browne also had a pair of former players named Division II Degree Completion Award Recipients.
