O'Dwyer Signs Professional Contract with Richmond Kickers

RICHMOND, Va. - Former Christian Brothers University men's soccer player Christian O'Dwyer has signed a professional contract with USL League One club Richmond Kickers, the club announced on Tuesday, 

"I am extremely proud to see that Chandler has the opportunity to be a professional," said CBU men's soccer head coach Enda Crehan. He is a top player, student and person. The entire CBU family is proud of him, and we can't wait to follow his professional career."

O'Dwyer capped off an outstanding season that saw him earn Gulf South Conference Player of the Year honors after he finished the regular season with a league-best 12 goals. The Lingfield, England native was also named First Team All-South Region by the D2CCA and the United Soccer Coaches Association. For his efforts on the pitch, and in the classroom, he also earned Academic All-American honors from the United Soccer Coaches Association, and GSC Fall All-Academic Team laurels. 

Founded in 1993, the Kickers are one of the oldest continuously run professional soccer clubs in the United States. 

O'Dwyer, and the Kickers, are scheduled to open the 2022 season on Saturday, April 2 when they host FC Tucson.
