KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Christian Brothers University men's basketball student-athletes
Opong Bramble, Nick Diefel,
Slate Garmany,
Aiden Ruthsatz and
Dominic Tomich have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, as announced on Tuesday.
CBU was also recognized as a Team Academic Excellence Award recipient.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Bramble, who finished with a 3.94 GPA in the MBA program, averaged four points and four rebounds per contest. Deifel, who has a 3.58 in business administration, averaged 11.5 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game. Garmany appeared in four games during his debut season at CBU, and has a 3.2 GPA in mechanical engineering.
Ruthsatz averaged 11 points, three rebounds and three assists per game, while having a 3.43 GPA in business administration. Tomich appeared in a career-high 21 games, finishing with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the MBA program.
Over 2,000 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 300 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2021-22. A full list of Honors Court recipients is available
