BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Christian Brothers University cross country runner Johanna Wistokat has been named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday, Sept. 21. This marks the second honor of the season for Wistokat. 

Wistokat crossed the line in first place at the Rhodes Invitational, on Sept. 17, finishing in 17:54. Wistokat blew away the field, beating her closest competitor by 28 seconds. The time, for Wistokat, was also 23 seconds better than at the previous race. 

The honor for Wistokat is the third of her career. 

CBU is scheduled to return to action on Friday, Sept. 30, at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, in Fayetville, Ark. The race, which is being held at AGRI Park, is set to begin at 3 PM.
