Memphis, TN- The Christian Brothers University men's cross country team delivered a determined team performance at the Rhodes Invitational, placing several runners inside the top half of a deep field stacked with Division I and II competition.
Joseph Arriaga was the top finisher for the Bucs, coming through in 18th place overall with a strong time of 26:25.72. He was quickly joined by teammate Etienne Barou, who crossed in 26:33.19 for 21st, giving CBU a solid 1-2 punch inside the top 25.
Junior William McCollough continued his consistent season with a 33rd-place finish at 26:58.11, while James Holcombe (46th, 27:19.11) added key points in the middle of the pack. Rounding out the top five was Thomas Saunders, who battled for 58th place in 27:44.65.
Also competing for CBU were Keelin Tyler (84th, 29:26.38), Kylon Higgins (102nd, 31:34.26), and Robert Richardson (111th, 32:27.97), all contributing valuable experience and depth to the Bucs' lineup.
The meet featured a blazing front pack led by Memphis, Arkansas State, and Mississippi College, but the Bucs showed they could hold their own against some of the South Region's toughest competition.
