BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Christian Brothers University cross country runner Johanna Wistokat has been named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday, Sept. 7. 

Wistokat led the Lady Bucs with a sixth place finish at the Memphis Twilight Classic, crossing the line in 18:17.74 (5k). Wistokat was the highest place finisher among NCAA Division II competitors, while also besting 115 other runners. 

The honor for Wistokat is the second of her career, as she was also named GSC Runner of the Week on Oct. 5, 2021. 

CBU is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Rhodes Invite. The race, which is being held at Shelby Farms Park, is set to begin at 8 AM.
