BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second consecutive week, Christian Brothers University men's soccer player
Max Klink has been named Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The honor for Klink is the fourth of his career, and his second of the season.
Klink helped lead the Bucs to an undefeated weekend, earning a 1-1 draw at Lee and a 2-0 victory at Shorter.
The Amsterdam native had six saves in the draw at Lee and followed that up with a season-high eight stops in the win at Shorter. CBU has now allowed just one goal in its last four matches.
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Sunday, Nov. 5 when they begin the defense of their 2022 GSC Tournament Championship, at No. 4 seed Auburn Montgomery. Kickoff is set for 1 PM CT.
