MALIBU, Calif. – Berket Mesele won the Pepperdine Waves Invitational to help lead the Christian Brothers University Men's Cross Country team to a third place finish on Saturday morning.
 
In a race against all NCAA Division I runners, the Bucs had four top-25 finishers. Anton Lindberg finished seventh, Leo Stefanski finished 18^th and Will Clayton finished 25^th.
 
Mesele ran an 18:24.1 6k to set a new school record.
 
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action at the Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16^th. The races are scheduled to begin at 8 AM at Shelby Farms.
