MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University women's cross country team has surged into the spotlight, earning the No. 8 ranking in the NCAA Division II South Region this week, announced by the USTFCCCA.
The rise comes on the heels of CBU's impressive win over then-No. 8 Union on Saturday, where the Lady Bucs edged out the Bulldogs by just three points. That tough performance propelled CBU into the regional rankings, marking an exciting milestone for the program.
"This is a huge step for our women," said head coach Bill Hoffman. "They've been putting in the work, and it's great to see it pay off. Beating a ranked opponent showed what this group is capable of."
With depth across the roster and momentum building, the Lady Bucs are determined to keep climbing in the South Region standings.
The women are rolling, and if Saturday's performance is any indication, CBU's best may still be ahead.
