Memphis, TN- The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team battled until the final buzzer but fell 72-55 against West Alabama.
CBU kept the game tight in the first half, trailing just 29-26 at the break.
The Buccaneers defended with discipline and forced tough shots, while finding scoring opportunities in transition and in the paint.
In the second half, West Alabama pulled away by scoring 43 points.
CBU continued to compete and attacked the rim, but the Tigers capitalized on key possessions to extend the lead.
Despite the result, the Buccaneers showed resilience and strong effort on both ends of the floor. Their defensive intensity in the first half and continued fight in the second reflected a team that competes every possession.
