Tested on the Road, Dominant at Home: Men’s Tennis Falls 5-2, Sweeps 7-0

Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers University competed hard but fell 5-2 against Cumberland University. CBU earned key wins in doubles and singles, but Cumberland secured the overall victory.


Doubles Matches

Doubles 1
Arne Bastian Somher (CU) and Arthur Fernándes Borrasca (CU) defeated Juan Ycaza (CBU) and Alexandre Randoux (CBU) 6-3. Cumberland controlled the pace and finished strong.

Doubles 2
Tristian Kelly (CBU) and Benjamin Hanriot (CBU) earned a solid 6-4 win over Matheus Guarnieri (CU) and Carlos Morillas (CU). CBU stayed steady in key moments to secure the victory.

Doubles 3
Mateus Mori (CU) and Mohamed Sanad Bouhlel (CU) won 6-1 against Ernesto Pico (CBU) and Miguel Perez Habib (CBU). Cumberland used consistent serves and strong net play to take the match.

Cumberland claimed the doubles point with two wins out of three.

Singles 1
Benjamin Hanriot (CBU) delivered a dominant performance, defeating Carlos Morillas (CU) 6-1, 6-2. Hanriot controlled both sets from the baseline.

Match 2 (Blue Mountain University)

Christian Brothers University delivered a complete team performance, earning a 7-0 victory dominantly. From doubles to singles, CBU controlled every match and never let momentum slip.

Doubles Play Sets the Tone

CBU started strong in doubles.
