MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers University men's soccer team delivered a strong second-half performance Saturday, earning a 3-0 victory over Spring Hill at Signaigo Field.

After a scoreless opening half, the Buccaneers found their breakthrough in the 51st minute when Lauri Orava scored off an assist from Matthias Ran De Berg to give CBU a 1-0 lead.

CBU continued to apply pressure and doubled its advantage in the 75th minute. Elliot Whalley found the back of the net following a pass from Daiki Ebihara, putting the Buccaneers firmly in control.

CBU added one more goal in the final seconds, as Alessio Anichini scored at 89:59 to cap the three-goal second-half surge.

The Buccaneers' defense also stood strong throughout the match, with goalkeeper Grant Clothier helping CBU secure the shutout.

The victory gives CBU a strong start in Gulf South Conference play as the Buccaneers continue their season at home.
