LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs finished eighth in the Blue Heat of the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning, while the Lady Bucs claimed a 31st-place finish.

Brett McAdams (Cleveland, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview HS) paced the Bucs, finishing the 8k course in 26:29, good for 16th place.  Nate Spears (Dayton, Ohio/Beavercreek HS) finished 19 seconds later in 31st place, while Max Group (Dayton, Ohio/Beavercreek HS) also cracked the top 100 of the 334 runners in the field, finishing 82nd in 27:32.  Rex Hammonds (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) finished in 111th with a time of 27:56, and Alex Shipp (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) rounded out the scoring with a 156th-place finish in 28:33.

Brittly Butler (Dyersburg, Tenn./Dyersburg HS) led the Lady Bucs with a 194th-place finish in 22:40 on the 5k course.  Porsha Chillis (Memphis, Tenn./East HS) was 217th in 23:16, followed by Danielle Hobbs (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) in 244th in 24:07.  Jessica Beck (Lakeland, Tenn./Arlington HS) finished 249th in 24:22, while Rachael Haag (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) finished in 258th place 28 seconds later.

The CBU cross country teams will return to action Saturday at 11 a.m. as they run in the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede hosted by Harding University in Searcy, Ark.
